My love for real estate started during the young, formative years of my youth as I followed the matrons of our family through countless homes, watching as they praised and criticized their way through each dwelling.
Multiple weekends and countless evenings were spent combing through real estate ads and attending open houses, not because these women were in the market but rather, “just to look.”
Housing was understood in my family to be a very special thing. A house was intended to be so much more than a mere place to reside. A house was meant to be a home, a safe space, a respite from the storms of life. Thus, as the women in my family educated their descendants about the importance of such things, a deep affection and appreciation began to blossom within my heart for homes.
I began to see how houses start as impersonal buildings and become as intimate to us as family members. I understood the reason our family’s matriarchs loved homes was due to the unique individuality expressed in each room. Somewhere along the way, I also began to appreciate these personal touches.
Now, as a Realtor, I can say with pride that I truly do what I love.
